A fast for the LORD

Zechariah 7:5 “Say to all the people of the land, and to the priests: ‘When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months during those seventy years, did you really fast for Me—for Me?

Wow, that verse resonates in my heart. During this season of fasting, let us always be mindful of Who we are fasting for. This fast is for the Lord. We want to know Him, we want Him to re-form our hearts, transform our minds and conform our will to His. We must be diligent to intricately involve the Lord in every aspect of this fast. Seeking Him early and often each day. For this fast to be for Him, it must include Him more than anything else.
