Be Thankful

Romans 1:21 Although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were they thankful…

It amazes me how my own heart can be filled with such ingratitude to my Lord and King who has won me everything. Why is thankfulness something that I feel I can push off, when it is central to our hearts being inclined towards the Lord? In this verse, Paul has linked our knowledge of God with the desire to glorify God with a thankful heart. That means that to be ungrateful is to choose NOT to glorify Him.  In turn, this makes it seem as if we don’t know Him at all! Is this statement true for you too?  Could it really begin in the simplicity of a thankful heart? Christian, be reminded; In Christ we have received every spiritual blessing. Let’s be thankful. Take some time this season to glorify God and BE THANKFUL!
